Accreditation and certifications

NCB is accredited by UKAS to act as an Approved (ApBo), Designated (DeBo) and Assessment (AsBo) Body to certify / assess rail project compliance.

NCB implements a management system certified by BSI to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015. NCB Integrated Management System

Network Certification Body Limited (NCB) is certified by BSI to BS EN ISO 9001: 2015, BS EN ISO 14001:2015 & BS ISO 45001:2018 for the provision of conformity assessment and technical services to the railway industry.

Our Integrated Management System (IMS) has built in checks and balances to demonstrate that project and client requirements are identified and met. These include project reviews, improvement tools, KPIs, feedback mechanisms and internal audits, all fed through to our Board of Directors and reviewed regularly by NCB Certification Advisory Committee.

We work closer together with our clients to:

We have robust processes in place to keep up to date with changes to National technical specification notices and standards through our involvement with the Department for Transport, ORR, RSSB, British, European, and International standards bodies. Any identified changes are built into our assessment processes and communicated accordingly.

NCB supports the development of the International and UK conformity assessment industry by providing experts to rail related forums.
