Network Certification Body (NCB) is a dynamic independent company within the Network Rail Group. We provide infrastructure and rail vehicle assessment services in the UK and Europe and we’re growing to meet the needs of this expanding market. Develop Network Certification Body’s relationships with new and existing customers, stakeholders and partners to achieve defined levels of income growth within assigned market sectors, so that the delivery organisation is fully utilised.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a hardworking and customer focussed individual to work with senior leadership to deliver the Network Certification Body’s (NCB) Customer Account Management Strategy.
What does the average day look like?
Your main area of responsibility will be to seek further sales opportunities with new and existing clients whilst maintaining the CRM.
You will be putting your communication skills to good use in strengthening relationships with clients in the assigned market section, whilst managing an active stakeholder map, increasing profitability of customer accounts.
You will be also be collaborating with the delivery function, being the principle point of contact for client account issues, continually improving the customer experience and probability of repeat business. Your excellent influencing skills will allow you to identify opportunities to promote NCB’s products and service offering.
Being commercial focussed you will pro-actively be completing business development activities, ensuring that NCB fully understands our market. You will produce proposals and weekly reports on the sales pipeline for customer accounts. You will also support the management of the customer feedback process for products and services delivered, sharing best practice across the business. You will also be identifying new product development in the market that will allow NCB to diversify its service catalogue.
What essential skills and experiences are required?
Educated to higher level education, or equivalent qualification in a Business or Sales discipline, or demonstrable professional experience
Successfully able to influence and manage stakeholders, internal and external at all levels
Excellent communications and presentational skills
Strong commercial focus
Strong negotiations skills with the ability to understand customer needs
Experience in a customer facing role with a proven track record of meeting KPIs
Strong networking capabilities
We would also like, but not essential.
Railway industry knowledge, including experience in the conduct of, or management of railway certification.
Sales experience within the rail industry
Working towards a Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status (E.g. NASP)

Key Vacancy Information
Vacancy Type: Permanent
Duration: This role is a full-time opportunity, but flexible working patterns will be considered.
Location: This role is based at The Quadrant Milton Keynes. For this role, candidates are required to live within 90 minutes of The Quadrant Milton Keynes.
