Railstaff Awards 2016 - A win for NCB!

This year’s RailStaff Awards ceremony took place on Saturday 8th October. Five NCB staff were nominated and were all finalists in their categories, with Craig Young winning Project Manager of the Year!

RailMedia’s annual RailStaff Awards began in 2007, with the aim of recognising the great work of the people within the rail industry.

This year’s RailStaff Awards ceremony took place on Saturday 8th October at the Ricoh Arena; with over 1,100 people from across the rail industry in attendance. 1,000 nominations were received across 20 Categories and a total of 46,000 votes were cast.

Five NCB staff were nominated and were all finalists in their categories, with Craig Young winning Project Manager of the Year:

  • Project Manager of the Year - Craig Young - WINNER
  • Rail Plant and Equipment Person or Team of the Year - Dan O'Brien
  • Rail Team of the Year - Conformance Team for the North of England & Scotland
  • Rail Engineer of the Year - Tom Scaramuzza
  • Lifetime Achievement - Steve Cowser

The RailStaff Awards recognise “the courage, bravery and professionalism of the people who deliver the railway – from drivers to cleaners and engineers to station staff” and it’s always an exciting and celebratory event. We look forward to seeing the recognition of people across the rail industry at next year’s event.
